Unabashed Scream

”The concept of ‘Human Nature’ is becoming an oxymoron for obvious reasons”

PEJAC

Your proclivity stays obscure unless you see the negative space walling you. In the quotidian occurrences, when you are in the hustle bustle of the mundane duties or the 9 to 5 job or may be at a train station during the peak hours, you are desperately eager to scram from the unglamorous. Mind you, there is a possibility you might even behave like an incorrigibly petulant young man in the maddening sounds of the urban life.

-This ruckus and uninviting squawks and jabbers that you hear have an incredible power to make you practice shamanism. I know it sounds fey, but then, isn’t it with every ritual we see around us that causes a sneer on our pompous faces?

The relationship of the humans with Earth is unpredictable, frightening and to an incredible extent maddeningly intolerant. Pejac is portraying these freakish episodes to remind the social beasts of their imbecilic behavior.

Human+Nature+-+Acrylic+on+wall+-+Salamanca+-+2013.pngPejac is a Spanish artist who fancies eliciting thought-provoking paintings using  a minimalistic approach. The negative space in his imagery lures you towards the main theme in the canvas. The idea to save the planet Earth is not an inchoate one, it’s a caustic reality, and Pejac’s art is echoing this reality in his paintings. The relationship of the humans with Earth is unpredictable, frightening and to an incredible extent maddeningly intolerant. Pejac is portraying these freakish episodes to remind the social beasts of their imbecilic behaviour.

Artist of such calibre makes you pause for a moment, provokes you to wonder and leaves you with the wild desire to question your own morality.

Take for instance this image by Pejac, where the world is about to go down the drain. The simplicity with which Pejac deals with the complex matters is very smart in presentation and unapologetically expressive in arousing emotions. This might help to remind the human race about their axiomatic ignorance of global warming.

Stain+-+Spain,+Santander+-+2011.pngThis powerful street art at a refugee camp in Jordan tells a tale of the innocents falling victims to the atrocities of war and embarking on a journey of myriad emotions and questioning beliefs.

His painting “wound” also deals with a major environmental issue. What makes his paintings so remarkably expressive is his use of the negative space. He lets the viewer wander around the canvas and once his eyes are at ease in the negative space, the image starts showing its true color. The ship leaving a scar in the water as it leaves shows the damage drilling does to satiate the unsated demands of the oil market.

Herida+-+Acrylic+on+canvas+-+81+x100+-+2016.pngPejac’s art is a breath of fresh air. His message to the world is painted with rage but the negative space is nurturing hope for a peaceful world. With a surprising wit and a powerful message, he is trying to remove the sneer of our grandiloquent appearances and unabashedly screaming to be gloriously humble towards nature. Artist of such calibre makes you pause for a moment, provokes you to wonder and leaves you with the wild desire to question your own morality.
